JAMIE ANDRUSYAK

Owner/Admin

Jamie Andrusyak (Lee), founded Oboe Duck Reeds in 2019 with her husband Erik Andrusyak. Originally a professional violinist, she holds a Bachelor of Music and a Performance Diploma from Indiana University and a Master's degree from Northwestern University. She has played oboe & English Horn with the Northwestern Philharmonia, the Northwestern Baroque Music Ensemble, and various freelance groups in the Evanston/Chicago area and is currently the principal oboe for the CT Valley Symphony Orchestra and co-principal for the SECCO Orchestra in Southeastern Connecticut.

When not behind the computer answering customer emails, or processing cane, she is usually found cooking delicious Korean meals and cuddling her cats Bocal & Lilly.

CASEY KEARNEY

English Horn Reeds

Casey Kearney, a New York native, is an oboist and English horn player and currently on the music faculty of the Music Conservatory of Westchester. Her playing has been hailed as "exquisite" by Cleveland Classical, and she has performed with the San Francisco Symphony and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Her formal studies were at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music ('19) with Eugene Izotov of the San Francisco Symphony, at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music ('17) with Robert Walters of The Cleveland Orchestra.

When not chained to the reed desk, she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, hiking, and spending time with her spoiled-rotten bunny, Milo.
