We pride ourselves in our reeds being 100% handmade from start to finish. A great reed takes time, as it goes through many adjustment and drying sessions to achieve stability. We serve many customers (and they keep coming back, so we must, so depending on how many customers are in front of you when you place the order, it may take a bit for us to get to your order - we want to be fair and work in order. Wait times only apply to fully finished reeds. Blanks, cane, and other accessories will usually be shipped out the following business day.
Life happens! Upgrades are available for an additional fee when you are in a time crunch. Please see below for the priority waitlist and emergency reed information.
The above timeframes are just estimates. If you would like to know your exact placement on the waitlist, please send an email to email@example.com.
What is the priority waitlist?
Purchasing the priority waitlist option pushes you ahead of the standard waitlist orders. You can add this option to your reed when you make your purchase, but it can also be added later if you email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How does the priority waitlist work?
We push priority to every other standard order. For example, if orders A, B, C, D, E are standard orders and Y and Z are priority orders, the list would be: A, Y, B, Z, C, D, E.
If another standard order came in, it would go after E.
If another priority order came in, it would go between C and D.
We hope this example helps clarify any questions you may have about priority orders. You can always email email@example.com to see exactly where you are on the waitlist.
What is the emergency reed?
The emergency reed has an expedited adjustment/drying process and is guaranteed to be finished within 24 business hours of you placing the order, no matter how long our waitlist is. We do not count weekends and holidays. For example, if you placed your order over the weekend, it will be shipped the following Tuesday at 9:00 AM EST. For more information please visit our emergency reed timeline.
We highly recommend also upgrading your shipping to Priority Mail USPS for the fastest service. If you wish to use this upgrade, please email firstname.lastname@example.org immediately after you place your order and we will send an invoice for the difference. Please make sure to pay the invoice by the timeline provided to prevent any delays in shipment.
Emergency reeds are an exception to our return policy and are non-refundable for any reason due to the after-hours time and care that went into making this reed (Yes, even if you hate it and even if it arrives damaged). You are willing to take this risk when you order the reed. As there is no way to control the speed after we ship it out, we also do not give refunds on emergency reeds due to delays in USPS pickup or transit. Thank you for your understanding.
How do I upgrade my shipping speed?
To give you the most savings, we use the cheapest USPS option to ship our packages. If you prefer, you can request an upgrade in your shipping by emailing email@example.com after you place the order with your order number. You will be sent an online invoice for the price difference. Please note that upgrading your shipping speed only shortens the time in transit AFTER your order is shipped; it will not shorten the amount of time it takes to make your reeds.
- Priority Mail (USPS)
- Add shipping insurance
- Add signature on delivery
- FedEx, and UPS options
Can I order 1 standard and 1 priority reed?
Technically, yes... however your order will be shipped together when the last reed is finished. If you would like to mix & match reeds on different waitlist tiers, we ask that you place 2 separate orders. If we catch an order having different tiers, we'll reach out to see what you want to do.
