This is an unfinished, partially-scraped oboe reed/blank. It has room to clip (longer than 70mm) and scraped to the point where it will peep & make some noise. You can see a skeleton of a finished reed (bark off, back/windows started to form, long tip). It won't play right out of the box and you must scrape it further to finish it according to your standards and preferences.
 
These unfinished reeds are perfect for students who want their teachers to finish their reeds or to practice finishing reeds themselves, or for professionals and teachers who are too busy to tie blanks.
